Thunderstruck
'Thunderstruck’ is one of four large scale drawings created for the Folkestone Museum. By invitation, I took inspiration from the victorian taxidermy collection housed at the museum. As a child I would visit the majestic diorama in the library. I recall feeling struck and giddied by the cabinets of insects, such as; butterflies, moths and beetles. This visual storytelling of wildlife has stuck with me to this day.
It was a great honour to create this collection titled ‘Force of Nature’, featuring wildlife, flora and fauna native to the bygone British Isles, as well as, what remains to this present day.
